Child Find
All kids with disabilities are able to receive a free, suitable public education through the comprehensive special education and related programs offered by Laurel Public Schools. The screening of all students inside the district limits is a key element of this program. These examinations are done to spot youngsters who may have learning difficulties when they start school or who may have disabilities. It is common practice to conduct screenings for cognitive learning, fine and gross motor abilities, speech and language, vision, hearing, health, and social and emotional development. Additionally, parents have the right to request at any time that the school assess their kid for a disability.
