De-Escalation Strategies for Families-     December 6th and 13th 

                                                                                     6:00-8:00 p.m. @ South Elementary Gym

Nicole Gioia, SWLC MSW is a Social Worker and Therapist; Nicole has spent the last 9 years working with children experiencing mental illness in the community and school settings in a variety of positions. Trained in techniques such as Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF- CBT), Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Therapy (S.M.A.R.T), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Level 1 Gottman Couples Therapist, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and is a Violence Prevention (VIP) trainer.


In this two part workshop participants can expect to learn techniques to de-escalate their child using evidence based techniques. We will learn how to recognize when a child is beginning to escalate and how to intervene before a child reaches crisis, as well as how to utilize and implement regulation techniques. Class will be located at South school, 606 S 5th St Laurel, MT 59044 in the Commons/Gym Area. 

Cost for this workshop will be $15 per participant.

Winter Soccer Skills Camps-  Click on a session below to register 

This Soccer program is designed for students in Elementary grades K-4  and in Middle School grades 5-8th. 

This program will work to develop Soccer skills by playing indoor version of soccer called "fustal" as well as challenging individual activities and fun.  

There are 3 goals that will be focused on:

#1) Introduction to proper foundational soccer techniques and communication through playing the game.

#2) Improve the individual skills of control, dribbling, passing, and shooting.

#3) Prepare players for their next level of soccer with greater confidence, increased field awareness, and quicker decision making during play.

Coach:  Aaron Christiansen- Laurel Storm Youth Soccer President  COST:  $20.00 per participant per Session

                     Limited space:  Grades K-4th Sessions limited to 18 participants.

                                              Grades 5-8th  Sessions limited to 30 participants.
