I am Mrs. Miller. I am so EXCITED to meet you! Read on to find out a little more about me.
Although I was born in Ohio, I moved to Billings when I was 8 years old. I went to school in Billings and graduated from Billings Senior High School. After high school, I attended University of Montana and received my degree in Elementary Education. I have an unusual teaching background. I have taught all levels of school from preschool to college! I started working for Laurel Public Schools as the Alternative High School teacher. As much as I enjoyed working with high school students, I missed working in an elementary setting and transferred down to third grade.
I have been married to my wonderful husband, Rich, for 28 years! We have two beautiful daughters: Aly and Abby. Aly is a teacher's aide at Graff and Abby and her husband live in California. My husband works for Montana Rail Link as an engineer. We also have 2 dogs; a German Shepherd named Romey and a Sheltie named Jake and 1 cat; Cecil.
I became a teacher because I LOVE school! (I know, ick, right?) I have a passion for learning and my hope is that my passion and dedication for education will ignite a spark in all of my students in learning, knowledge and growth. I am honored to be your child’s teacher. I know that each and every child that I am blessed to have in my classroom has been placed here for a reason, and I fully intend to meet each of these student's needs to the best of my abilities! My goal is for each of my kiddos to leave my class knowing that school is a welcoming, special place that unlocks the secrets to discovery and adventure.
