Hello, my name is Rachel Meiers, and I teach Title I at Fred Graff Elementary. This will be my eighth year at Graff and I am looking forward to another great school year! I have lived in Laurel my entire life, so having the opportunity to teach in the community is extremely rewarding. I graduated from Montana State University-Billings in 2011 and became a Teacher’s Aide at Graff in 2013. I taught 4th grade for the last six years and loved sharing my passion for learning with my students. I am currently working on earning my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through MSU-Bozeman.
I am very blessed in that most my family lives in Laurel, or close nearby. We enjoy spending time at our family cabins throughout Montana, and we love getting the gang together for family outings. My parents, Rob and Jean, are very supportive of my career and make sure my classroom is stocked full of snacks and supplies for my students. Both my brothers, Ryan and Randy, have coached for the Laurel Locomotives, and Ryan still continues his journey as a coach through wrestling. I have fun and energetic nieces and nephews that make everything more enjoyable. I got married to my best friend, Nate Meiers, in August of 2019. He has blessed me with a beautiful stepdaughter. We have two dogs, Baxter and Drake and they enjoy swimming and going on hikes.
I believe forming positive relationships with my students is key in order for them to achieve their academic goals. I am looking forward to another great school year. Go Locomotives!
