You have several options to access books and resources:

 

1. LMS Library Webpage: http://www.laurel.k12.mt.us/2/Content/62

  • links to Sora, databases, homework help, citation references

2.  Sora : www.soraapp.com or download the app

  •  ebooks and audio books

  1. FInd your school: Montana School Library Shared Digital Collection

  2. Sign in to your school: Laurel Middle School

  3. Username: school id number (no letter) / Password: last name (all lowercase)

  4. Explore and Borrow! 

3. Montana Library 2 Go : https://montana.overdrive.com/

  • ebooks and audio books

    • This is very similar to Sora. This gives you access to many more ebook and audio book options!

    • You need either a Laurel Public Library card or a Billings Public Library Card to access these resources. See below for how you can easily gain access to a public library card!

    • You can access Montana Library 2 Go from the website or by linking it to your Sora account. This lets you quickly search Sora and Montana Library 2 Go at the same time. Once in Sora, access your settings in the top right corner and click ‘Add a public library’.

4. Laurel Public Library : https://www.laurelpubliclibrary.org/

  • food, physical books, ebooks, audio books, printing

    • Check the website for information regarding meals and curbside pickup for DVDs and copies of physical books.

    • The library will be allowing students to enter two at a time to print and sign up for a library card.

    • Laurel Public Library card holders have access to curbside pickup and Montana Library 2 Go (see above for more info on this resource).

5. Billings Public Library : https://billingslibrary.org/

  • eLIBRARY - Montana Library 2 Go (see above for more info on this resource), music, magazines, research databases and much more

    • You need a library card to access these online resources. Applying is easy!

  1. Click ‘Get a Card’.

  2. Fill out the online registration and click ‘Apply for a Library Card’.

    1. Remember your PIN!

    2. The temporary ID will not work! You must complete the next steps.

  3. Email a picture of your school id to circdesk@billingsmt.gov. Type your first and last name as the subject.

  4. You will receive an email within 24 hours with your permanent id. This number will grant you access to online resources for 6 months.
